Fixing a broken Kitchen Drawer

by on May.25, 2009, under Other

The drawer. This drawer has been broken for years. The thing would close partially before falling off its track. You could try going slow and that might work… until you walk away and it promptly falls. The first attempt at asking for help at a local home improvement store didn’t quite work out as it was suggested we rebuild the drawer with some kitchen refacing kits. That didn’t quite fit into the budget, so we left it.

More than a year later, I decided to try again. A trip to Lowes, bypassing any sort of help I walked the store looking for ideas. That’s when I found some undermount railings that looked remarkably similar to the overmount setup I had. For $3, why not. Tried it, and after a few hours, no more sticky drawer.
