Aveo Motor Mount – Round 1 – Transmission Mount

Generally, this would come before round 2, but that doesn’t always work out. At any rate, here are the pictures from filling the transmission mount.
Aveo Control Arm Bushing March 2009

Clunky front? This one had all the characteristics of a bad wheel bearing. Once the wheel was removed, a quick wiggle check revealed a control arm that was quite sloppy. Luckily I had already purchased a control arm bushing in hopes of finding a polyurethane replacement.
While I might not explain the process of replacement, I will say despite Chevy techs statement otherwise, you do not need to replace the entire control arm. The pictures can tell the tale from here.

Remove Tie Rod Bolt
Unhook lower brace if you have one and front control arm bolt
Rear bushing will not be removed, simply a reference picture
Press out the stock bushing
