RSLRA Turbo Relocation April 2008

Finally a chance to build something using melted steel. Not sure what it is about basic fabrication work, but it’s almost always a good time. Add to that, I haven’t actually made anything in a while so it’s nice to keep the skills fresh.

The project started by loading up my welder, 4.5” angle grinder, electric die grinder, wire brush, gloves, welding helmet, porting bits and a few other misc fabrication tools into the Skittle and headed off to James for some work on his Beastly rear wheel drive Impreza.

Project Resurrection Interior Cleaning Part 2

Part 2 of the interior cleaning. Here I removed the seats and found an HVAC knob which through me completely off task for the rest of the cleaning. I completely disassembled the HVAC controller so if you want to know how a 93-97 HVAC controller works, this post is for you.

Today I pulled some more interior panels, the “to clean” stack is rather high. I will probably be picking up some plastic paint and start the interior color change.

Project Resurrection Interior Cleaning – Part 1

Some of the pictures between part 1 and part 2 will be mixed up and possibly even duplicated. I was more concerned with working on the car than having an impeccable photo collection. Now with that said, here is a video clip of the progress along with all the photos.

Other than the mystery screw to the right of the glove box, most of the interior cleaning went quite well.
